Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, the college’s Table Tennis Championship commenced on Tuesday, 13 October 2026. The opening match saw fourth-year student Hassan Flaih defeat his colleague student Fahad Raad, also a fourth-year student, by three sets to one. The championship will continue throughout the first semester, fostering a competitive sporting atmosphere that reflects students’ enthusiasm and athletic skills. This initiative reflects the college’s commitment to supporting student activities, nurturing sporting talents, and promoting a positive spirit of competition among students. It also contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4: Quality Education, by encouraging physical activity and fostering a university environment that supports students’ personal development and skill-building.
