Under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum AlKhateeb, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy-University of Baghdad….The continuing education unit, established a workshop under the title (Basics in Pharmaceutical Promotion) that was presented by assistant lecturer Ahmed Majid Hameed, a faculty member in the Clinical Pharmacy Department. The goal of the workshop was to discuss the ethical promotional process of pharmaceuticals in the market, how to implement a professional sales call, how to classify customers, definitions of titles in pharma companies, and the rules for ethical promotion. Also, the workshop highlighted the process from the manufacturing of the product until it becomes available for the patients as a “Pill Journey”.
