Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Scientific Affairs Unit at the College of Pharmacy / University of Baghdad held a scientific seminar presented by MSC St. Hayder Ahmed Jawad, department of pharmacognosy and medicinal plants about the effect of the gingko biloba plant that is commercially found in pharmacy as an aid for treating Alzheimer’s disease and helping improve memory. The lecture included also:  Introduction and history uses of gingko biloba and different pharmaceutical formulation found in pharmacy, mechanism of action and risks of over does and benefit of use in elder patients and the less side effect compare to other medicinal plant.
