Due to the climatic changes facing our country, the College of Pharmacy sought to educate its students, staff, and professors about facing climate changes through cooperation with the National Initiative to Support Energy and Reducing Emissions, where the representative of the Ministry of Electricity, Mrs. Ruaa A Talib provided presented on the threats facing Iraq being one of five countries in the world are at risk of climate change and its impact on national and food security. Hence, the national initiative to support energy and reduce emissions was launched as a joint cooperative initiative between the Ministries of Environment and Electricity and the membership of all government institutions to achieve the Climate Agreement by reducing CO2 emissions by 1-2% and rationalizing energy consumption. The fact that energy losses amounted to 62%, and the call to participate in afforestation campaigns to achieve the goal of the initiative to plant one million trees throughout Iraq . A number of faculty, students and staff of the college participated in the workshop, and many questions and discussions were raised, and other symposiums will be held in the same topic.
