The department was established in 1984 under the name of Pathological Analysis Department which based on the need of the College and the Ministry of Health for the fields of biochemistry and the physiological and pathological changes in the human body and its various tissues. The department is concerned with teaching clinical biochemistry, pathology, histology, microbiology, parasitology, virology, immunology and public health, as well as supportive sciences include biostatistics, computers, mathematics, and medical physics). The department includes the following scientific laboratories: Pathophysiology, Clinical Biochemistry, Biochemistry, Biology and Histology, Microbiology, Computing and Physics, Postgraduate Studies. The college awards postgraduate who graduates from the department, a certificate: Higher diploma, Master, Doctorate of philosophy in clinical laboratory sciences.
