The Faculty of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Ibn Sina Unit in the College of Pharmacy and the University of Baghdad, organizes an online workshop under the title An Important Safety Aspect to Consider While Working in a Chemistry Laboratory. Under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum AlKhateeb, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Baghdad. The continuing education unit established a workshop under the title (An Important Safety Aspect to Consider While Working in a Chemistry Laboratory ) that was given by Assistant Lecturer Sumayah Saadi Abbas, a faculty member in the pharmaceutical chemistry department. Having a strong set of overall laboratory safety rules is essential to avoiding disasters in the lab. Safety rules are only effective when they are enforced, which is why very strong laboratory management is so important to a safe laboratory working environment as well. Through this workshop, some important practices to know were discussed. Furthermore, Covering the most important aspects the researcher might involve while working in a chemistry lab, in addition to the safety rules that researchers should follow in the chemistry laboratory.
