Dr Kawther Khalid Ahmed, a faculty member in the department of pharmaceutics received the second prize for the distinguished research in medical field -2021 as one of the awards of the Iraqi Science Day. This is the biggest competition organized by the Directorate of Research and Development in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research that accept nominations from faculty members and researchers in all the Iraqi colleges and universities. The ceremony was hosted by the University of Baghdad on April 10, 2023 and the awardee were recognized by the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Naeem Al Aboudi
