Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Sarmed H. AlKhateeb, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Pharmacy/University of Baghdad, implemented a scientific workshop delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Khalid Kadhem Al-Kinani, Head of the Pharmaceutics Department, on Wednesday, 10/11/2023. The workshop was focused on controls and mechanisms for implementing audit visits to pharmaceutical factories by pharmacists specializing in industrial pharmacy. This workshop represents an opportunity to promote the quality of pharmaceutical manufacturing and other health items. The importance of understanding the scientific and regulatory origins and foundations of audit visits and how they can only be applied was highlighted. Various industrial elements, such as product safety and the presence of correct processes, were also discussed in this workshop. At the end of the workshop, the importance of pharmacists’ role in improving medicine manufacturing, ensuring consumer security, and the highest level of quality and responsibility in the pharmaceutical industry were highlighted.
