The clinical skills test for fifth-year Pharm-D students was held in the halls of Baghdad Teaching Hospital/Medical City. This test concludes the clinical training program for the first semester, involving extensive clinical training in various specialties (renal, heart, respiratory, gastrointestinal diseases, endocrinology, as well as intensive care, psychiatric, and neurological diseases) on Wednesday, December 13th. The Pharm-D degree is a unique certification in Iraq, preparing clinically trained pharmacists with skills in working within a multidisciplinary team to treat patients and provide the best medical services. The test was conducted with the participation and supervision of clinical pharmacists and specialized physicians. After the test, a meeting was held with the students, attended by the Managing Director of the Medical City, Professor Dr. Hasan Mohammed Abbas, and the Dean of the College of Pharmacy/University of Baghdad, Assistant Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb. During this meeting, various issues related to the Pharm-D program were discussed, and the students’ queries were addressed. At the end of the meeting, the Dean presented the College’s shield to both the Managing Director of the Medical City, Professor Dr. Hasan Mohammed Abbas, and Dr. Kawthar Faris Nasir (Clinical Pharmacy Specialist), in appreciation of their significant roles in the successful completion of the clinical training program. Additionally, the Dean presented letters of appreciation to all senior residents from the Clinical Pharmacy Board, acknowledging their vital role in the direct clinical training of students, which was evident in the outstanding performance of the students, which earned praise from everyone involved.
