Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Scientific Affairs Unit at the University of Baghdad/College of Pharmacy, held an in-person scientific workshop about skin antiaging strategies delivered by Lecturer Dr. Zena M. Qaragholi, a faculty member at the Pharmacology and Toxicology Department. The workshop aimed to illustrate the three types of skin aging: biological, mechanical, and environmental. Moreover, signs of skin aging was clarified. The workshop included addressing how the decline of skin functions and structures affects the visible signs of skin aging. Proper skin care can thus alleviate symptoms of aging. Moreover, recent and updated strategies to prevent and combat skin aging were explained.
