The esteemed Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sarmad H. Al-Khateeb, participated in a gracious invitation along with a number of esteemed professors at the College of Pharmacy, Al-Nahrain University conference titled “The Pharmaceutical Industry: Between Reality and Aspiration”. The Dean participated as a member of a panel discussion titled “The Role of Pharmacy College Curricula in Developing Pharmaceutical Industries”, where he emphasized that the curricula are in continuous development. He highlighted tangible steps being taken to enhance the practical industrial experience of students, such as frequent visits to pharmaceutical factories. These visits could be organized regularly and systematically and be turned into training courses, similar to hospital and laboratory training.Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Azeez Ali Ali also participated in another panel discussion focusing on “The Role of Scientific Research in Developing the Iraqi Pharmaceutical Industry”.Moreover, postgraduate students from our college contributed to the conference through poster presentations or oral presentations over the two days of the event. They were honored by the conference chair and the dean of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Haider Baha Abdul Sahib. This conference, among others, represents a significant step toward reforming and advancing the pharmaceutical industry. Through collaboration between all pharmaceutical institutions, both academic and industrial, the aspirations of the profession’s leaders and its dedicated members will be achieved.
