Within the accreditation meetings series, the Institutional and International Accreditation Committees at the College of Pharmacy/University of Baghdad, under the chairmanship of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, held a meeting in the presence of the members of the committees, the Quality Assurance Performance Evaluation Division, and the Accreditation Unit, emphasizing the importance of obtaining national and international program accreditation for the College of Pharmacy/University of Baghdad. During the meeting, the final report containing the accreditation criteria for pharmaceutical colleges approved by the National Council for Pharmacy College Accreditation was followed up, and the standards in their updated version were discussed, which is an important step to ensure the quality of pharmaceutical education and upgrade the academic program. The meeting included the presentation of the report submitted to the University of Baghdad, which contains the national institutional accreditation criteria consisting of eight criteria, including the educational institution’s strategy, governance and administration, financial resources, staff, students, scientific research, community service, and curricula.
