Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, the Scientific affairs Unit at the University of Baghdad/College of Pharmacy, held an in-person workshop entitled “Hydrolyzed collagen for hair, skin, and nails” delivered by Lecturer Dr. Zena M. Qaragholi, a faculty member at the Pharmacology and Toxicology Department.The workshop aimed to highlight the beauty benefits of collagen and illustrated the latest research regarding this subject. The workshop included several topics, started with an introduction, then chemical structure, after that illustrated types of collagens. Finally, bioavailability and potency.The workshop concluded that Marine Collagen is not just a trend; its scientifically proven benefits, natural origins, and compatibility with clean beauty principles have made it a go-to choice for those seeking age-defying beauty and overall wellness.
