Under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum AlKhateeb, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy-University of Baghdad….. The Continuing Education Unit, organized a workshop, under the title: (DDSolver: An Add-In Program for Modelling and Comparison of Drug Dissolution Profiles) It was presented by Assistant Prof. Dr. Hanan J. Kassab, a faculty member in the Pharmaceutics Department. The goal of the workshop is to introduce you to the software and show you how to download and integrate it with Excel.
The workshop included several themes:
- Quantitative evaluation of drug dissolution characteristics is of great interest to pharmaceutical scientists. Analysis is usually tedious and time- consuming.
- DDsolver is a free add-in excel software than can used for dissolution data modelling and comparison, this software was developed by Zhang et al and published in The AAPS Journal, Vol. 12, No. 3, September 2010 DOI: 10.1208/s12248-010-9185-1
- The method of download and activation in excel was summarized and the procedure for obtaining data
