Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit organized a seminar on the topic of probiotics. The seminar was presented by fifth-year students as part of the Student Research Club activities, under the supervision of Dr. Nawar Mekhail, a faculty member in the Pharmaceutics Department. During the seminar, the students addressed the mechanisms of action of probiotics in the body, provided a historical overview, discussed the impact of foods on the activity of these bacteria in the body, and explored the effects of probiotics on skin health and their potential use in treating skin diseases. Additionally, they highlighted the most important dietary sources of probiotics.
