Under the sponsorship of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and the supervision of the chairman of the Deans’ Committee of Pharmacy Colleges in Iraq and the dean of the College of Pharmacy/University of Baghdad, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, the online competitive exam for the Excellence and Creativity Award was held, in its second edition, on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in the halls of the College of Pharmacy and by using Moodle program. Representatives from the Supervision and Evaluation Department of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research were present. A total of 74 students participated, representing 35 colleges: 12 Government colleges and 23 private colleges. This exam serves as a significant incentive for outstanding students to enhance their experiences and scientific skills, encouraging them to strive for academic excellence. It also aimed to evaluate the educational process in different colleges, fostering a spirit of scientific and academic competition among them. During the exam, a supervisory tour was conducted by the head of the chairman of the Deans’ Committee and a group of deans from various pharmacy colleges to inspect the exam process and the organization of the examination halls. The exam proceeded smoothly and with high organization, adhering to the approved ministry regulations. Following the exam, the participating students in the Excellence and Creativity Award were honored with certificates of appreciation signed by His Excellency the Minister. The dean commended the students’ diligent efforts and expressed his wishes for their continued success.
