Under the supervision of the esteemed Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, the Qualification and Employment Unit at the University of Baghdad/College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the Media and Government Communication Division, organized an extracurricular activity entitled “Optimal Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools by Students.” The event involved an informative lecture delivered by Associate Professor Dr. Samer Imad Mohammad, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department. Brochures detailing beneficial artificial intelligence (AI) programs for students were also distributed. The activity aimed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively utilize AI tools in their studies, while avoiding overreliance on them. The activity covered several topics, including a lecture on the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing students’ academic performance, particularly in research writing. Practical examples and a detailed explanation of how to effectively employ these tools at various stages of research were provided, with an emphasis on the importance of critical thinking and analysis when using these technologies. A range of tools, presented through informative brochures, was introduced to students to help them leverage this advanced technology. However, the importance of using these tools ethically to maintain academic integrity was also emphasized.
