The Dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, participated in a high-level academic delegation headed by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, and accompanied by several college deans. The delegation conducted visits to both the University of Tehran and Sharif University of Technology in Iran.During these visits, the two sides discussed ways of scientific collaboration in various disciplines through the exchange of research and academic experiences, as well as the enhancement of joint educational and research programs. Additionally, discussions focused on mechanisms for developing research projects of mutual interest, contributing to supporting scientific innovation, and expanding areas of cooperation between universities. The visit also aimed to foster collaboration in the establishment of a science park at the University of Baghdad. In this context, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the University of Baghdad and Sharif University of Technology, outlining cooperation in developing the science park, as well as the exchange of experiences and promoting scientific research and innovation. This collaboration aligns with the University of Baghdad’s vision to strengthen international academic relations and to provide an integrated environment that supports scientific research and students. It also contributes to the advancement of academic programs and the enhancement of education and training quality across various disciplines. This activity achieves one of the Sustainable Development Goals represented by Goal four, which calls for quality education, as well as Goal seventeen which emphasizes partnerships for the achievement of these objectives.
