College Council Meeting Minutes 2026/2027

First Session

Session date on September 9, 2026

The College Council held its first meeting for the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year at the College of Pharmacy, University of Baghdad. The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Sarmed Hashim Kadhim and attended by the council members. At the beginning of the meeting, the council chair welcomed the members and wished them success in their work.

The following topics were discussed:       

  1. Reviewing the discussion minutes of a graduate student
  2. Forming committees to discuss graduate students
  3. Restructuring the central scientific committee in the college
  4. Restructuring the graduate studies committee in the college
  5. Reviewing a teaching promotion case from outside the college
  6. Reviewing a request to obtain the title of Distinguished Professor
  7. Identifying courses with a practical, applied, nature
  8. Forming the committee for graduation projects
  9. Reviewing self-assessment questionnaires for the academic year 2025-2026
  10. Reviewing the minutes of the Industrial Advisory Council meeting for the College of Pharmacy

Second Session

Session date on September 29, 2026

The College Council held its second meeting for the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year at the College of Pharmacy, University of Baghdad. The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Sarmed Hashim Kadhim and attended by the council members. At the beginning of the meeting, the council chair welcomed the members and wished them success in their work.

The following topics were discussed:

  1. Reviewing the minutes of a graduate student’s discussion
  2. Forming committees for graduate student discussions
  3. Reducing tuition fees
  4. Approving graduate student research
  5. Changing the title of a graduate student’s research
  6. Deferring an academic year
  7. Requesting academic hosting
  8. Ending the relationship of graduate students
  9. Second-round exam results for graduate students for the 2025-2026 academic year
  10. Postponing compensation courses
  11. Approving faculty research
  12. Changing a faculty member’s research title
  13. Reducing tuition fees for parallel students
  14. Merging the graduation sequences of the College of Pharmacy for the 1969/1970 academic year
  15. Merging the graduation sequences of the College of Pharmacy for the 1988/1989 academic year
  16. Results of undergraduate students for the first and second semesters/second round
  17. College scientific publication report for July and August
  18. Visiting professor
  19. Request to loan a faculty member from our college to another university in Iraq
