Under the direct supervision of the dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the College of Pharmacy- University of Baghdad, represented by assistant professor Dr. Samer Imad Mohammed, a faculty member in the Clinical Pharmacy department with a number of fourth-stage – PharmD students who participated in the training seminar entitled (Youth training on risk communication and community engagement to scale up routine immunization in Iraq) which was established by the World Health Organization(WHO) in cooperation with the Iraqi Ministry of Health. The workshop was held at the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, on Wednesday, 12/14/2022The training aimed to enhance the role of medical college students in Iraq in participating in community awareness campaigns to increase community awareness and identify the risks associated with parents’ refusal to vaccinate their children, as well as introduce the Iraqi health system for immunization and the importance of increasing community awareness of this system, as well as invest in students’ future roles as health service providers in achieving this goal.
