Concept of continuing education:Education is a continuous state that is not limited to a specific stage or a specific age group, so the regeneration of a person is life in its full meaning, and that the development of society can only be achieved by developing the individual, releasing his capabilities and talents and renewing his experiences and any development can only be achieved through continuous education and experience. Therefore, continuous education contributes to finding the appropriate capabilities and means to keep pace with the rapid knowledge and technological development in order to serve the local community and take it to the ranks of advanced societies.

Vision and Mission:In support of the University of Baghdad’s academic journey and its pioneering role towards progress and giving, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Pharmacy seeks to be one of the educational channels that contribute to the process of building for a better community service by developing the skills and capabilities of the academic staff who are responsible for education and pharmaceutical research development in its various fields, focusing on the cognitive and practical aspects.

Objectives: Shedding light on scientific research, its mission and its role in solving various health problems., Training academic and research cadres at all levels, developing their skills and raising their efficiency, Keeping alongside with research developments at the theoretical and applied levels , Communication and exchange of experiences between the university’s academic institutions and the professional and health institutions in the local community.

Activities or tasks:

  • Preparing the annual plan for the college’s activities represented by (conferences, courses, workshops, symposiums, and guiding programs)
  • Informing the University of the Annual Plan and determining the beneficiary entity in order to circulate it to the colleges and relevant departments and institutions of civil society.
  • Preparing data for each session, seminar or conference that includes the title, number of participants, and a summary of the topic and sending it to the university.
  • Providing appreciation certificates to participants in courses and conferences.
  • Involving the teaching staff and career in the college in the specialized courses held by the faculties of the university, as well as the courses held by research centers and community institutions.
