Under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum AlKhateeb, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy-University of Baghdad…. The continuing education unit, held a workshop titled (Useful Tools for Academic Writing) that was given by Dr. Kawther Khalid Ahmed, a faculty member in the pharmaceutics department. Academic writing is an important element of the work in academia. Graduate students thesis and dissertation documents and the different types of scientific publications are all examples of the need to build and improve the skills employed in academic writing. The workshop presented different applications, software, and websites relevant to academic writing. These include reference managers, acquiring permissions to reuse copyrighted materials, Microsoft word functions, and others. The workshop introduced participants to different applications that help save time, reduce efforts, and elevate the quality of document formatting. The workshop included hands on experience of the different tools presented and how to employ them towards the production of high-quality document.
