Under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy-University of Baghdad…. The continuing education unit, established a workshop under the title (The most appropriate ways to do the chemical laboratory techniques) that was given by assistant lecturer Sumayah Saadi Abbas, a faculty member in the pharmaceutical chemistry department. Working in a laboratory requires carrying out a lot of different procedures, all of which require different skills and techniques like filtration, distillation, extraction ,purification…etc. Understanding the exact way to do them is very crucial to ensure experiments give the most accurate results and to prevent accidents that may be dangerous to researchers. Through this workshop, the common laboratory techniques used by about every researcher like filtration, sepration and purification procedures and the most right way to do them will be focused on.
