The Iraqi Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences rose to the third quarter within the pharmaceutical specializations in the global Scopus database, after it entered it in 2018. It was mentioned that the Iraqi Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences is a leading journal with a solid scientific history and is published by the College of Pharmacy, University of Baghdad. It was established in 1979 as a semi-annual specialized scientific journal concerned with publishing research related to pharmaceutical and medical sciences. Thirty-one volumes and fifty five issues have been published so far, and according to the latest statistics last April for Scopus, 250 research papers were indexed and nearly 180 citations were obtained for the research of the College of Pharmacy Journal. Accordingly, the cite score of the journal increased from 0.2 to 0.9. While the journal continues its endeavor with deliberate and steady steps within a plan developed by the Deanship of the College to develop the journal and improve its arrangement in the international compilations, and as a first step, the number of the journal will be increased to four issues annually instead of two issues per year to accommodate the research sent to the magazine and to publish research at a faster pace to keep the results up-to-date and keep up with  The rapid scientific development, and the journal welcomes the reception of scientific research within the journal’s specialization.
