The Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Sarmed H.kathem Alkhateeb, attended a joint meeting with the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Muneer Hameed Al-Saadi, with the British delegation from the University of Dundee. The delegation included Professor Ian Gillespie, President of the University of Dundee and Mr. Jason Norris, Director of Global Partnerships at the University, in the presence of Dr. Hamed Al-Wakeel, Advisor to the Prime Minister and a number of university presidents in Iraq. The meeting discussed the strategy of joint cooperation between the British University of Dundee and the University of Baghdad, opening areas of communication with British universities in general, exchanging experiences and student delegations that make a real change in education, and study opportunities at the University of Dundee for students of the University of Baghdad and postgraduate studies. This visit comes within the endeavors of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to open horizons of cultural cooperation with discerning universities around the world, with the aim of making quantitative and qualitative changes in the scientific and cultural movement in Iraq, as the data of global publication and the results of international classifications of Iraqi universities in general and the University of Baghdad in particular are in stages.
