The Chairman of the Deans’ Committee of the Pharmacy Colleges, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, met the honorable Deans, and the Committee’s periodic meeting was held in the College of Pharmacy/Baghdad University on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. The meeting included several themes, the most important of which were:
- Analysis of the results of the evaluation exam two years after the introduction of the important experience and emphasis on the importance of following up on these results by colleges in order to evaluate the educational process in the faculties of pharmacy Striving to improve the quality of its outputs, identify the strengths and weaknesses, and honor the first students at each college in order to encourage excellence.
- Development of a uniform version of the coding and classification of scientific laboratories in all faculties of pharmacy and as directed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
- Discussion of the mechanism for identifying students covered by the Innovation and Excellence Award to be awarded by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research at the beginning of the next academic year to early students at all pharmacy colleges.
The meeting concluded with the recommendations of the Chairman of the Deans’ Committee, aimed at promoting institutional and scientific integration between all Iraqi pharmacy colleges to benefit the maintenance of pharmaceutical education and the graduation of pharmacists with a high level of information, skills, and behavior to serve Iraqi health reality.
