The Faculty of Pharmacy won second place in the results of the annual evaluation of the University of Baghdad colleges of scouting activities and voluntary work. This evaluation came after the presentation of many varied voluntary works inside and outside the faculty, supervised by the Committee for Supporting Volunteerism and participated in by students. Teaching and associates of the college were under the direct supervision of the Dean of the college, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kadhum Alkhateeb, as these works were different in their activities and varied and involved the planting of parks, visiting orphanages and persons with disabilities, familiarizing themselves with the conditions of the elderly, and providing the most basic needs for living well. It also included providing food baskets for students in the internal student housing complexes and during the holy month of Ramadan, as well as providing assistance and donations to the victims of the Syria earthquake. The total amount disbursed to donations was more than IQD 3 million, and the support committee aspires in the future to develop ideas of volunteerism to contribute to the service of our dear country.
