Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr.Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Continuing Education Unit, in the College of the Pharmacy / University of Baghdad, held a scientific workshop given by Assistant Professor Omar Saeb faculty member in the Pharmaceutics Department on “RP-HPLC”.
The workshop aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the applications of RP-HPLC in the pharmaceutical industry. It plays a crucial role in separation, identification, and purity calculation for active ingredients and for different dosage form. It involves an introduction to different types of instruments, type of detectors and their mode of action. The newest instruments and the revolution in the pharmaceutical analysis had been shown an acceleration in the development of different approaches for the identification of drugs within dosage forms and their subsequent evaluation. The workshop covered all aspects concerning the learning of analysis of data using Shimadzu® lab solution software. Attending this workshop, participants gained valuable insights into the practical applications of RP-HPLC in pharmaceutical research and development.
