Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Scientific Affairs Unit held an in-person scientific lecture entitled “Synthesis, Characterization, and preliminary anti-microbial evaluation of new ketorolac hydrazone derivatives “, which was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Muthanna Saadi Al-Taie in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department, to present research published by the faculty member and postgraduate students in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department and to exchange of ideas and access to the scientific productions. The lecture included different themes, such as an introduction to non-steroidal derivatives, how they affect the body, and why side effects occur, as well as an explanation of how new derivatives are prepared and how they are inferred, as well as a presentation of laboratory results regarding their antimicrobial effectiveness. At the end of the lecture, questions from the audience were answered by the lecturer.
