The Preparatory Committee of the 11th Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Pharmacy/University of Baghdad, under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Shatha H. Ali, held its first meeting in the presence of the members of the Committee. The chairpersons of the scientific and social committees of the conference were also invited to the meeting. During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the preparation of the general agenda for the conference and the activities that will take place during the conference days (the opening session and scientific sessions). These sessions will include lectures on topics related to the conference’s two main themes, which are the developments in pharmaceutical education and scientific research in various pharmacy specialties. The attendees were assigned the task of contacting foreign professors to coordinate the participation of speakers within these themes. The emphasis was placed on the early announcement of the conference date, the schedule for submitting research papers, and the announcement of the conference’s email address for receiving participating research. A selection of research papers will be presented in the form of posters during the conference activities, in addition to conducting the scientific sessions. Furthermore, discussions included proposing the conference’s specific logo, preparing the design template for posters, and preparing shields and certificates for conference participants.
