Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Plants Laboratory

Vision: The Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Plants Laboratory aims to align students’ scientific knowledge with practical laboratory skills. It focuses on achieving complete knowledge necessary for diagnosing medicinal plants and extracting, isolating, and purifying active substances.

Objectives of the Laboratory: The objectives include introducing students to medicinal plants, their parts, diagnostic methods, and the examination of plant tissues under a microscope. Students learn about all-natural product sources and raw drugs, extraction methods for active substances, dissolution methods using solvents and various reagents based on plant properties, and the skill of separation, isolation, and purification of active substances from medicinal plants using various colorimetric differentiation techniques. These laboratories play a vital role in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, fostering essential skills in students and preparing them for future professional challenges.

Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Plants Laboratory for Postgraduate Studies and Research
