Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Scientific Affairs Unit in the University of Baghdad/College of Pharmacy, held an in-person scientific workshop on “Standard Practice (GxP) in Biomanufacturing,” delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Khalid Kadhem Al-Kinani, Chair of the Pharmaceutics Department. The workshop aimed to provide a thorough exploration of the fundamental principles of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). The lecturer conveyed a clear idea of how these practices are essential for ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of products in the biomanufacturing industry. The workshop included several themes, such as in-depth coverage of GxP guidelines and their crucial role in biomanufacturing, insightful discussions on regulatory compliance and quality assurance, and practical applications of GMP, GLP, and GCP in both laboratory and clinical settings. In addition to the interactive engagement with the audience, fostering a rich learning environment. The workshop was well-received by the attendees, who valued the depth of knowledge and practical insights provided. The feedback underscored the importance of such workshops in enhancing understanding and implementation of GxP standards in the pharmaceutical field.
