Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Scientific Affairs Unit in the University of Baghdad/College of Pharmacy, held an in-person seminar about the advancement of nanoparticulate systems delivered by Amal Abdullah Mohammed, an MSc student at the Pharmaceutics Department, to present research published by the faculty members and postgraduate students and to exchange ideas and access to the scientific productions. The seminar aimed to understand nanotechnology and nanoparticulate systems, with a focus on the pharmaceutical nanoparticle system, its approaches for preparation, advantages, and limitations. The lecture included several topics, including the use of several types of stabilizers in the delivery of these preparations to body tissue and discussing several global studies on nanoparticles and polymers that are used for the targeting of the drug to specific organs in the body and increasing the bioavailability to obtain a better local effect.
