Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division, in coordination with a number of faculty members, hosted visiting professors from Arab and international universities to lecture in the undergraduate program as visiting instructors. This year, five professors were invited to lecture in different courses during the first semester. This step comes as part of the Deanship of the College’s efforts to develop the educational process and raise the level of communication between the college’s students and faculty with educators from other universities, including Kingston University, the Lebanese American University, Minya University, and the University of Sharjah. The lectures included the courses of physical pharmacy, pharmaceutical technology, biopharmacy, applied therapeutics, and pharmacotherapy, spanning multiple levels in the program to include all college students. It is hoped that the college will host another group to give lectures in other courses during the second semester, including graduate studies. Such collaboration is initiated to sustain the high-quality education provided at the University of Baghdad/College of Pharmacy and serve sustainable development goals.
