According to the directives of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as the presidency of the University of Baghdad, to expand green spaces within and outside the university to preserve the environment, the College of Pharmacy/University of Baghdad organized a voluntary campaign to plant the Pharmaceutics Department gardens under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, with the participation of Lecturer Zainab Issa, a faculty member at the Pharmaceutics Department, in coordination with the Supporting Committee for Volunteer Work and the Agricultural Unit in the college. This campaign is part of the sustainable development agenda to increase green spaces and environmental care at the University of Baghdad. The campaign included planting many flowers and evergreen shrubs on April 22, 2024. The aim of the voluntary campaign was to enhance the aesthetic and environmental aspects of the college, promote a culture of planting, and support the major reconstruction campaign underway at the college under the direct supervision and sponsorship of our ministry and university.
