Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Continuing Education Unit at the University of Baghdad/ College of Pharmacy, held an in-person workshop entitled “rotary evaporator apparatus,” delivered by Assistant Lecturer Noor Mohammed Dawood, a faculty member at the Pharmaceutics Department.The workshop aimed to define rotary evaporator apparatus, principle of operation and differences between rotary evaporator and lyophylizer.The workshop included several topics including: identify the device with its main parts and functions, the correct way to use it, the proper cleaning of its part and uses of apparatus in different fields.The workshop concluded the importance of the rotatory evaporator in laboratory applications and research for postgraduate and faculty members in the department leading to save time and effort and gain the materials in greater purity.
