The assessment exams began in all Iraqi colleges of pharmacy, both public and private, on Monday, the 13th of May for pharmacy students, with three subjects for each academic stage starting from the second to the fifth stage. The exams are conducted from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Baghdad as the main center and headquarters of the Central Examination Committee, chaired by the Dean of the College and the Head of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Sarmad Hashem Al-Khatib. It is worth mentioning that the assessment exam includes 56 public and private colleges. The questions are prepared scientifically and very accurately within the electronic question bank system, which was developed for this purpose using the latest software. The questions are created electronically using advanced algorithms to ensure the highest levels of security and transparency. The adoption of the assessment exam system began last academic year to strengthen the educational process, based on the decision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority, to adopt it as a central exam according to a specific mechanism that relies on automated electronic correction to enhance pharmaceutical education. It is also worth noting that the exams are conducted smoothly and easily under the supervision and monitoring of a large number of supervisors assigned by the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority to follow up on the conduct of the exams.
