The esteemed Chairman of the Deans’ Committee, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, welcomed the distinguished Deans of Pharmacy Colleges. The committee held its regular meeting at the College of Pharmacy, University of Baghdad, on Thursday, August 8, 2024. The meeting covered several key topics, including:
◼️ Analysis of the current academic year’s assessment results and the importance of monitoring these results by the colleges to improve the educational process in pharmacy colleges, enhance the quality of their outputs, identify strengths and weaknesses, and honor the top students from each college to encourage excellence.
◼️ Discussion on the importance of reviewing and updating curricula.
◼️ Discussion of the significance of student-to-teacher ratio for the educational process and some administrative procedures.
◼️ Discussion on mechanisms to support the government’s direction in localizing the pharmaceutical industry.
The meeting concluded with recommendations aimed at enhancing institutional and scientific integration among all Iraqi pharmacy colleges to improve pharmaceutical education and graduate pharmacists with high levels of knowledge, skills, and conduct, serving the Iraqi healthcare system effectively.
