Academic collaboration between the University of Baghdad and EMU in Northern Cyprus A delegation from the University of Baghdad visited EMU from August 26 to 29, at the official invitation of the Eastern Mediterranean University. The delegation was led by the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ameer Faisal Abdul Ameer Al-Tamimi, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Head of the Civil Engineering Department, and a faculty member of the Environmental Engineering department. The delegation visited a number of colleges and university departments and held several joint meetings with the head of their university and his assistants and a number of deans and officials at the university. They agreed to conclude a scientific cooperation memorandum with the university, which includes the exchange of faculty members and their scientific expertise, supervision and joint research, the exchange of undergrad and postgraduate students, seminars, and joint conferences. The President of EMU, Prof. Dr. Hassan Kilic, expressed his gratitude to the Committee for responding to his invitation to visit their country and university, describing it as the beginning of friendship and fruitful scientific partnership. The members of the delegation were honored with shields and souvenirs, and in turn, the committee chair, Dr. Al-Tamimi, expressed in his speech the committee’s satisfaction with their presence and pleasure in good reception and hospitality.
