The College of Pharmacy at the University of Baghdad organized an awareness activity on October 27 regarding the latest developments in breast cancer. This event was under the patronage of our esteemed administration, supervised by the Women’s Affairs Unit, and in collaboration with the Media and Government Communication Division and the Support Committee for Voluntary Work. The activity included several segments. It began with an art exhibition prepared by our dear students, featuring paintings and handcrafted items related to the occasion, as well as a charity bazaar and scientific posters, discussing everything related to breast cancer, from the importance of early detection and prevention to various treatment methods, prepared by the students under the supervision of faculty members. This was followed by a scientific seminar presented by our guest, Associate Professor Siham Omran Musa, the head of the Iraqi Association for Breast Cancer Fighting. The day concluded with a tour where students, accompanied by faculty members, distributed awareness brochures within the college, targeting female staff members. The day was marked by enjoyment and benefit, as these activities not only serve their primary purpose but also strengthen the relationship between students and faculty members, break the routine of the academic day, and encourage their talents and small projects.
