Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit organized an educational workshop on the occasion of International Human Rights Day, titled “Human Rights in International Charters: Between Reality and Application,” delivered by Lecturer Dr. Jinan Abdullrazaq Fatah, a faculty member in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department. The workshop covered several topics, like the concept of human rights from the perspective of the United Nations and international law, the international charters that provide legal organization and protection for human rights principles, such as the United Nations Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the two International Covenants on Civil and Political Rights and Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights. The lecture also compared the articles within these charters that outline rights and freedoms and their practical applications.
