The Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, and Professor Dr. Shaimaa Nizar Abdul-Hamid, Chair of the National Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Colleges, attended the Sixth International Scientific Conference and participated in a panel discussion on the curricula of pharmacy colleges. Dr. Alkhateeb emphasized the importance of updating the curricula, noting that efforts have been underway for some time to discuss and update the curricula to better align with the role of pharmacists and the needs of the job market. The conference was attended by a distinguished group of academics, professionals, health sector representatives, and pharmacy college graduates. This conference, along with other scientific gatherings, provides an opportunity for communication between researchers and specialists from various fields to exchange ideas, perspectives, and provide platforms for sharing experiences and knowledge, which positively impacts the development of the pharmaceutical sector in Iraq.
