The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the College of Pharmacy, University of Baghdad, organized an exhibition showcasing the research outcomes of students and faculty members. The exhibition was inaugurated by the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Insaf, along with the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb. The event was attended by Dr. Haider Fuaad Al-Saigh, the President of the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, Dr. Ahmed Ali Ibrahim, the President of the Iraqi Pharmaceutical Producers Association, and representatives from pharmaceutical companies such as Al-Mansour, Al-Safa, and others. The exhibition featured unique designs in various fields of pharmaceutical sciences, including products manufactured using innovative and distinctive methods that are practical and applicable. It also highlighted new and innovative approaches to manufacturing important active pharmaceutical ingredients used in the production of pharmaceutical preparations, as well as natural product outcomes for the production of herbal medicines through scientific and pharmaceutical methods. In addition, there were educational and training publications in various health and clinical fields. A total of 20 undergraduate students, 70 graduate students, and 35 faculty members participated in the exhibition. The event witnessed a high level of interaction between the students and faculty, and the guests praised the significant efforts and the high, innovative quality of the displayed works. They expressed their willingness to collaborate in all fields, contributing to a positive atmosphere for the students, encouraging creativity, and inspiring meaningful innovation. An agreement was made for collaboration between our academic institution and the attending pharmaceutical companies to explore the possibility of applying the research and transforming it into products available in the pharmaceutical market, particularly in the fields of pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, and medicinal drugs. Dr. Al-Saigh expressed his readiness, as a syndicate, to provide all necessary support to activate this collaboration in order to achieve the goal of Design Day: products that serve society and contribute to the advancement of healthcare.
