Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Scientific Affairs Unit in the College of Pharmacy/University of Baghdad, held an in-person scientific seminar on osteoporosis, delivered by the Lecturer Dr. Farah Kais Abdul-Wahab, in the Pharmacology and Toxicology Department. The seminar aimed to shed light on the topic of osteoporosis, the most important factors that cause osteoporosis, and how to prevent it. The seminar included several topics, such as the methods used to diagnose osteoporosis, the complications resulting from osteoporosis, and how to reduce them by eating a healthy diet, exercising, taking calcium, vitamin D3, and vitamin K2 supplements, and using treatments that reduce the risk of osteoporotic fractures.
