Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Scientific Affairs Unit at the University of Baghdad/College of Pharmacy, held an in-person scientific seminar about exploring pharmaceutical nanocrystals for enhanced drug delivery, delivered by Zainab Atshan Khalaf, the MSc student at the Pharmaceutics Department. The seminar aimed to give an introduction to the pharmaceutical nanocrystals and their role in enhancing drug delivery and the bioavailability of drugs inside the body. The seminar included an explanation of the role of pharmaceutical nanocrystals in improving the solubility and bioavailability of poorly soluble drugs inside the body, the methods of preparation of these nanocrystals, the important factors affecting them, and challenges to their preparation and storage.
