The Institutional and International Accreditation Committees at the College of Pharmacy/University of Baghdad, under the chairmanship of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, held a meeting in the presence of the members of the committees, the Quality Assurance Performance Evaluation Division, and the Accreditation Unit on Sunday, February 24, 2024. During the meeting, the rates of achievement of accreditation standards for pharmacy colleges, which have been approved by the National Council for Pharmacy College Accreditation, were discussed. This is an important step to ensure the quality of pharmaceutical education, as it has a significant impact on elevating and maintaining the academic program’s standards. In addition to emphasizing the importance of obtaining national and international program accreditation for the College of Pharmacy/University of Baghdad. The meeting included a presentation of the documentation and evidence gathered on each of the criteria for national institutional accreditation, which consists of eight criteria, including the educational institution’s strategy, governance and administration, financial resources, staff, students, scientific research, community service, and curricula. Ways to complete and meet all requirements for the application for accreditation were discussed.
