Under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Dean of the College, the Support Committee for Student Volunteering, in collaboration with the Ibn Sina E-Education Unit at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Baghdad University, organized an e-workshop entitled (Disease and remedies in the ancient Mesopotamia) was given by our guest Professor Dr. (Osama Adnan Yehya), a faculty member at the Faculty of Arts, History Department, Al Mustansiriya University. The workshop included several themes, including the disease and its causes; the gods responsible for the disease; the most important treatments and prescriptions used in ancient times; and the role of the ancient gods in healing. The most important objectives of this workshop were to learn about the history and beginning of the pharmaceutical Sciences and the means and treatments used and their importance in ancient times, and to prepare for a mural on the history of pharmacy embodied in a volunteer at work that includes the most important personalities and a role in pharmacy.
