Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the University of Baghdad/College of Pharmacy, held an in-person workshop entitled “Electronic Archiving” delivered by Dalia Mohannad Mohammed, the manager of Website Unit at the College. The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of electronic archiving and its importance. The workshop included several topics, including the benefits of electronic archiving, the steps involved in electronic archiving, the best electronic archiving programs, the differences between digital and manual archiving systems, the drawbacks of electronic archiving, the specifications of computers used for archiving, and the specifications of scanners used for archiving. The workshop concluded that the electronic archiving process is a method of organizing and storing information and data digitally, making it easier to access and manage while providing multiple backups to preserve the entered information and data. This leads to improved work efficiency and speed in execution, as well as a reduction in the physical space required for storing documents.
