This event was organized in collaboration with the Volunteer Support Committee and a group of fourth-year students, under the guidance of their professors: Professor Dr. Shadha Hussein Ali and Lecturer Dr. Shaima Abdul Zahra, faculty members in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department, as well as Associate Professor Dr. Fadya Al-Hamadani, Associate Professor Dr. Ali Aziz, and Dr. Muhammad Yawaz, faculty members in the Clinical Pharmacy Department. The campaign aimed to educate and inform students about the serious risks of electronic cigarettes and advised them to quit, highlighting the dangers they pose. Electronic smoking involves inhaling vapor from heated liquid containing chemicals, which is no less harmful and dangerous than regular smoking, as it contains a high percentage of nicotine that can lead to addiction and consequently damage the lungs. The campaign also included the distribution of brochures to the students to inform them about the dangers of smoking and ways to reduce it.
