Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Scientific Affairs Unit at the University of Baghdad/College of Pharmacy, held an in-person workshop entitled “Ideological Terrorism: Forms, Practices, and Remedies,” delivered by Lecturer Dr. Jinan Abdul Razzaq Fatah and Assistant Lecturer Hiba Haidar Kathum, faculty members at the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department. The workshop aimed to provide an educational and awareness-raising lecture about the forms of ideological terrorism, its methods, and how to protect the targeted groups from it. The workshop included several topics, including defining the concept of ideological terrorism and its types, explaining the forms and behaviors of ideological terrorism, and elucidating the reasons behind this terrorism and the ways to address it. The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations related to the necessity of promoting the acceptance of different opinions, avoiding extremism, combating conflicting ideologies, and enhancing the role of relevant authorities in preparing generations that combat ideological terrorism.
